Hello,

I have just recently moved to LB and was wondering about rules of the beach. I live on the far west end of Long Beach. Is swimming allowed in the ocean there being that there are no lifeguards? I'm talking about the area around Ohio/Nevada.

Thanks!

Hi Blahze9

welcome to long beach!

the rules are that you are not allowed to swim when lifeguards are not on duty. people still go in but it's at their own risk. last year the rip tides where pretty rough, so if you intend to go in when the lifeguards are not around be really aware of the water conditions.

there should be rules posted at the beach entrance.

hope this helps a bit.

Thanks Stace,

I just noticed that LB DOES have lifeguards down by me. I had mistakenly thought that they were only down by the boardwalk area. :?

Good luck with this board!
