Hello everybody -

I'm wondering if some people out there might be having the same problem as me in only receiving the West End Assoc Newsletter very intermittently.

I've proposed to the West End Association to help them to get the newsletter delivered online, or simply posted online. This could augment the printed version and I think it would make it easier for people to receive timely information, as well as insuring easier access for everybody.

Any opinions/thoughts on this?

Mike

I live on the west end and never receive newsletter.
Does the group ever have meetings? I would like to
help get the west end more involved in such issues as
stopping overbuilding by trying to amend the zoning code,
parking, beachcleanup, etc.
Please let me know, JDS

Hi JDS - Thanx for registering and for the enthusiastic post.

I'll try to pursue this. I've not seen a copy of the newsletter for some time now - it's always been a single page, front and back. They've had kids distribute them throughout the West End, but I've noticed the distributing to be less reliable over my eleven years here.

In the past, it was typically a monthly newsletter and I believe that there were monthly meetings. I'm unsure if that is still the case and will try to find out.

However, you should take the opportunity to use this message forum to bring up some of the issues that interest you for public discussion. I'm sure there are others who share the same concerns and/or interests.

Thanks.

Michael

West End Neighbors has just launched a web site at www.westendneighbors-longbeach.org. It's under construction, but newsletters will be posted there. Mark the site and check it periodically.
