Penta Cares was founded in 2007 as a philanthropic division of Penta Dynamic Solutions, a boutique event planning agency based in downtown Manhattan. The mission of Penta Cares is to partner with non-profit organizations to raise funds and awareness through events for worthy causes at no cost to the charity.
Penta Cares will host its Second Annual Charity Golf Outing with proceeds benefiting the American Diabetes Association on October 6, 2008 at the Lido Golf Club in Lido Beach, NY. The 11am shotgun start will be followed by a cocktail hour, silent auction, 50/50 raffle, dinner, awards reception, and entertainment.
Last year’s event raised over $40,000 and brought in over 200 attendees, donors, and corporate sponsors.
This year’s event honoree, Nicole Sciarrino, is an adorable 5-year old from Manhasset, NY who was diagnosed with Type 1diabetes just a few weeks before her second birthday. Life with diabetes is not easy for Nicole; there is never a break from the constant blood sugar monitoring and administration of insulin. Organizations like the American Diabetes Association are working hard to find a cure of this terrible disease and to develop better treatments until a cure if found. Tremendous progress has been made in the past 20 years and we truly believe that a cure is within reach, during Nicole’s lifetime, if we continue to provide funding. Your involvement will help make this year’s event a huge success.
The American Diabetes Association (ADA) is the nation’s leading nonprofit health organization providing diabetes research, information, and advocacy. The organization works to prevent and cure diabetes and to improve the lives of all people affected by the disease. There are 20.8 million Americans living with diabetes, and 54 million with pre-diabetes.
