Anyone have any suggestions for those nights that I don't feel like going out or cooking for myself? At this point chinese has become mundane and lacking, there are only so many times I can stomach steamed chicken w/broccoli... Any suggestions or feedback please!

i know it's sort of obvious to say pizza but all their stuff is good.

chicken marsala, heroes, salads, soup...and i do happen to love their pizza as well.

unfortunately, other than that, it's sort of flat for that satisfying quick solution idea.

West End Pizza...that answer was simple enough.

also the crepe place for a light dinner is good too.

Some of what I've noticed about many places in LB when you order take-out, is that they don't package well for take-out. (Other than the Chinese places, which have this down to a perfect science!)

These might seem like the little things, but they are actually pretty important if you want your food to make it home in edible condition, and your car not to be soiled. Or for the packaging not to go up in flames or melt in the microwave because they've used the cheapest possible containers.

Anyhow, Big Ed's did an excellent packaging job. That totally fits in their character of seeming to have paid good attention to detail :) I think they may end up being one of the best bets on take-out as well as dining in.

Welocme to the site Mspiggy, when you say "We" I assume that you are involved with Big Ed's to some capacity? If so, great additon to the line up Long Beach restaurant's.

Thanks...we thought LB could use some good bbq too! Have you tried us yet? We love hearing compliments, complaints, suggestions, etc since we are still so new!
And yes...I am affiliated...AKA Mrs. Ed....but thought being Ms Piggy I could have my own identity!

Well then let me be the first to welcome you. Great job on the place, really looks great inside. I have eaten there about 4 or 5 times already since your opening. A few comments, praise and constuctive criticsism if I may. Best of luck and welcome!!!!

- Food is very good and a nice selection to choose from.
- Decor looks good but needs just a liitle more charm.
- The leather booths are great comfort. Nice touch!
- Nice liquor selection and good house drinks. (rumors of a mean mojitio is floating around insidelongbeach.com)
- The wait staff could be a little more attentive at times.
- No bar seating? ( I have been there on two ocasions with a party of 6 on a Friday night) and we all wanted to sit at the bar and have a few cocktails, the bar was great and well stocked but no place to sit for a few for our table. After 15 minutes of standing we were getting a little restless. Good peanuts though and a pleasant bartender.
- GREAT ribs!
- Very good baked beans! Real Southern style. (not the canned junk, I know the difference I spent some time in the south)
- Good selction of beers bottle and tap.
- How about outdoor seating?
- Clean bathroom(s).. Well it is.
- TRY THE CORNBREAD! I did not like it at first and now it is awesome!

Here are just a few things, I hope this was helpful. See you soon for good food, good drinks and good times.

Di'Salvo's tried it last night and gotta say it was actually vey good to excellent. Food was good, delivered promptly and very reasonable priced.
I found my new pizza/pasta take out for now on.

Just thought I'd ask, anyone remember Carini's pizza where East End Pizza is now? I always did like there slices.

I personally think East End Pizza is better than Di'Salvos, but that's just me.
