Anybody been there yet? I've heard good feedback from one person thus far.

Loved the food and a very attentive staff...and I agree about the sign- bad design.

Well, actually, I think the sign is very artistically done - however, entirely unreadable :)

Thanks for the quickie-review. I hope to check it out soon.

I went here last night for my "bachelorette party" dinner. It was really, really good. I was actually very surprised because I tend to think most Long Beach restaurants are just "eh" at best. The wait staff was very attentive. We did go later at night (around 9:45) so we didn't have to wait at all for a table. That's one of the reasons we haven't checked it out so far---there always seems to be a crowd. Maybe now that the beach season is over, it would be a lesser wait. I was disappointed however, because they didn't have some things on the menu anymore that looked like they would be very tasty.

I think that Coastal Grill has improved ...They have a new menu and it's much better.

Hey James -

Thanks for letting us know.

The original menu did not really appeal to us, so we never ended up checking it out. I'll have to take a look at the new menu and perhaps we'll make a point of giving Coastal Grill a try.

I just found this website after reading the Herald and the comment about not being able to read the sign has me chuckling. I thought I was the only one that couldn't read it.

It's definitely not just you ... even knowing the name, every time I pass by it still reads something like "C O S T O I L G R L"
